  • Where God & Country Meet

    line
He's not interested in a Frapuccino in the foyer. He thinks anything worth doing should be done in boots. Something is tugging at his heart. He’d never darken the door of a traditional church. Yet God knows his secret hurts and deepest needs and has called us to reach out to him “by all possible means”. Circle D Cowboy Church is a place where the “yet to be Christians” and the disenfranchised can come on their own terms, dressed just as they are. A place to heal, build lifelong friendships, be learn, and eventually teach others. Above all, a place where they can hear the simple, lifesaving message of Christ. If you are looking for a safe place to learn more about God and meet people just like yourself, come to Circle D.

  • Cowboy Church Concept

    line
The Cowboy Church concept speaks directly to the cowboys’ blue jean culture and those who want to hear “the plain truth”. It is come-as-you-are: Blue jeans, Boots and Hats relaxed atmosphere. This is a place where rural residents, ranchers, cowboys & cowgirls, contractors, and anyone else that loves the country lifestyle, can walk the journey of faith with us as we sort out the issues of life together.

Pastors Russ & Judy

Dear Friends,

Me and my wife Judy were associate pastors in Springfield Missouri for 7 years. We handled all the outreach events for Park Crest Assembly. God has used us to minister to foster children through Royal Family Kids Camp for many years.

Now God is calling us to expand His vision for those who are yet to know Him and love Him. There are so many in rural and suburban America that no longer know the love and saving grace of Christ. Many in the Rodeo-Cowboy culture feel left out of our faith. They fall to the enticements of today’s bright rodeo lights, casino glamor, misleading commercials, and worldly false promises.

I truly believe God has called us to minister in Durant Oklahoma. We have now established Circle D Cowboy Church and are seeing God move in a special way.  We pray you will come and join us in the cowboy lifestyle. Look for us in the Clay Jones building at the Fair Grounds every Sunday at 10:30.  Call me any time at 580-924-4848. Let’s get together for a cup of coffee.

The Rodeo Chaplain designation allows us to minister directly to the professional rodeo Circuit, Collegian and Youth Rodeos, and arena and equestrian events. Every rodeo needs a chaplain, and Pastor Russ is available to be a part of this ministry in Oklahoma.

This program is central to growing the understanding of God’s grace! We will be heavily involved in children & youth, animal & farming education projects, and activities. We also plan to start another Royal Family Kids’ Camp with an emphasis on animal therapy!

We find that the kids naturally gravitate toward the animals.  This is the most popular thing we do at camp.  Horses, dogs, cows and chickens.  These are the hit of the camp.  Kids can trust animals, where they aren’t able to trust some of the adults in their lives. Isn’t it amazing that all God’s creatures can have an impact on our lives.  Even the animals are part of His plan.
